  C. Keith Hansley is a graduate of Clemson University, where he studied history and philosophy. From a young age, Keith has had a fascination with the abundance of bizarre and intriguing events and people found in the pages of history.     1. One of the easiest ways to find public domain images is to simply go to the Google image search engine, click the tools option and toggle on 'labeled for reuse' under the usage rights section.

      Copies of paintings created in the early 20th century or earlier are usually labeled as public domain. There are a lot of images of statues from museums that you can use, but these often require a Creative Commons license attribution.
